Scope An executing party, for example, a transfer agent, sends the TransferOutConfirmation message to the instructing party, for example, an investment manager or its authorised representative, to confirm the delivery of a financial instrument, free of payment, on a given date, to a specified party. This message may also be used to confirm the delivery of a financial instrument, free of payment, to another of the instructing parties own accounts or to a third party. Usage The TransferOutConfirmation message is used to confirm the withdrawal of a financial instrument from the owner’s account and its delivery to another own account, or to a third party, has taken place. The reference of the transfer confirmation is identified in TransferConfirmationReference. The reference of the original transfer instruction is specified in TransferReference. The message identification of the TransferOutInstruction message in which the transfer instruction was conveyed may also be quoted in RelatedReference.

Unique and unambiguous identifier for a group of individual transfers as assigned by the instructing party. This identifier links the individual transfers together. Specifies a character string with a maximum length of 35 characters. For comparison, see the ISO20022 official specification This message is declared as Max35Text in the ISO specification. In our implementation, it is represented in source code as IsoMax35Text. Due to global using directives, it is treated as a System.String by the compiler and runtime.

Extensibility and generalization considerations

To facilitate generalized design patterns in the system, the TransferOutConfirmationV03 implementation follows a specific implementaiton pattern. First of all, TransferOutConfirmationV03 impleemnts IOuterRecord indicating it is the outermost logical part of the message definition. Like all message wrappers, TransferOutConfirmationV03Document implements IOuterDocument. Because TransferOutConfirmationV03 implements IOuterDocument, it is a suitable template parameter for IOuterDocument, and causes the internal ‘Message’ to be of type TransferOutConfirmationV03.

Document wrapper for serialization

The only real purpose TransferOutConfirmationV03Document serves is to cause the document to be serialized into the ‘urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:sese.003.001.03’ namespace. Therefore, it will probably be the usual practice to build the message and construct this wrapper at the last minute using TransferOutConfirmationV03.ToDocument() method. The returned TransferOutConfirmationV03Document value will serialize correctly according to ISO 20022 standards.
