Scope An account servicer sends the CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdvice message to an account owner or its designated agent, to report status of a received corporate action election instruction. This message is used to advise the status, or a change in status, of a corporate action-related transaction previously instructed by, or executed on behalf of, the account owner. This will include the acknowledgement/rejection of a corporate action instruction. Usage The message may also be used to:

Extensibility and generalization considerations

To facilitate generalized design patterns in the system, the CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdviceV09 implementation follows a specific implementaiton pattern. First of all, CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdviceV09 impleemnts IOuterRecord indicating it is the outermost logical part of the message definition. Like all message wrappers, CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdviceV09Document implements IOuterDocument. Because CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdviceV09 implements IOuterDocument, it is a suitable template parameter for IOuterDocument, and causes the internal ‘Message’ to be of type CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdviceV09.

Document wrapper for serialization

The only real purpose CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdviceV09Document serves is to cause the document to be serialized into the ‘urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:seev.034.001.09’ namespace. Therefore, it will probably be the usual practice to build the message and construct this wrapper at the last minute using CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdviceV09.ToDocument() method. The returned CorporateActionInstructionStatusAdviceV09Document value will serialize correctly according to ISO 20022 standards.
